Tulip Footstool by Eero Saarinen
Eero Saarinen designed the "Tulip" stool in 1957. It is made out of cast aluminum and reupholstered in blue ultra-suede. The tulip design creates a clean and elegant line by doing away with multiple legs which was Saarinen's objective. Eero Saarinen (1910-1961), a Finish-American, was one of the legendary architects and furniture designers of the twentieth century. He is known for the St. Louis’ Gateway Arch and John F.
