Vintage Heinz Meier for Landes Footstool

Landes Manufacturing Co., established in California in 1953, was known for its experimental outdoor furniture designs and technical innovations. According to the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, Heinz Meier was one of the first designers to use industrial fixtures for furniture. We recreated the cushion for this piece, upholstering in white faux-shearling/boucle. The cushion is secured by velcro. These pieces are often attributed to Robert Haussman for Stendig.
