Oxford Chair
Designed in 1963 by Arne Jacobsen, the Oxford chair is regarded as the designer's greatest achievement. Originally designed with a higher back for the professors of St. Catherine's College in Oxford; the chair served as a symbol of prestige. Jacobsen later evolved his Oxford Chair into a suite of variations, which includes the shown Low-Back design, a collection for which Oxford granted the designer an honorary doctorate.
Our contemporary edition Oxford Chairs are offered in a smooth black leather, rich with age and in excellent condition. The leather is contrasted with brushed stainless steel on the arms, star base and caster hoods. The chair is equipped with tilt, swivel and height adjustment as shown in the photography. These are available in multiple quantities, please inquire for a quotation.
