Bentwood Arm Chairs, Set of 4
An exquisite example of fine Italian Craftsmanship very much in the style of Thonet. These chairs feature intricate woodwork that is wonderfully visually seductive. Generous swooping arms are the staple of this particular design which frame a round caned seat. Their origins are from Modena, Italy where the great late craftsman Salvatore Leone lived and produced a large body of work. Various chairs feature both "Made in Italy" & Leone's workshop tag "S L, Marchio di Fabbrica Depositato".
